The exhibit hall is where science meets possibility.
AGU Exhibit Hall Tours are guided, science-first conversations that connect attendees with emerging resources, technologies, and the people behind them. Each tour follows a scientific theme—not a sales pitch.
Launched at AGU25, the tours are a collaboration between the AGU Distributed Sensing Technical Committee and AGU Open Science. Now we're inviting new voices to shape the next round at AGU26.

What volunteer guides do
- Choose your theme
Identify a scientific topic that connects attendees with useful tools and ideas.
- Shape the experience
Write a tour description and plan discussion points and booths to visit.
- Connect with exhibitors
Coordinate with exhibitors in advance; aim for about four stops.
- Guide the group
Give a short presentation on your theme, then lead an approximately 50-minute tour and facilitated discussion with the exhibitors you choose.
The organizers coordinate advertising and registration. Tour dates and times will be set by AGU, and tours will appear in the official AGU program app.
Your perspective belongs here.
Software, field equipment, communication, data resources, or something else entirely—propose a tour around the science you want people to discover.
Field notes from AGU25. Your inspiration for Discovery.
These eight tours from AGU25 in New Orleans show the range of ideas a guide can bring to life. They are examples from 2025, not the AGU26 schedule.
